Relative Page Layouts

The Relative Page Layout Action supplied in Freeway 5.5 has required the Text Flow Action to be re-written in places. This is not a bad thing, as it does things better now, and it helps overcome a problem.

The problem is that the image paths when drawn in Freeway are seen as non layered items, and the Relative Page Layout (RPL) Action will report this as a problem. If you are using the RPL Action and Text Flow, be sure to parent the path to the HTML item you are using. This way, the Actions will work nicely together.

The Relative Page Layout Action helps make the Text Flow Action even more sensible, as ALL items are layers, not just the item to which the Action has been applied.

To parent an item, click on the Site Pane title to the left of the page. You will get a list of objects on the page. Drag an item so that it is underneath the item to which you want it parented - it should become indented.

Important - so that your text boxes line up correctly, make sure that it is at least the height of the preview content.
